I purchased Nyani, with her mother, when she was 2 months old. Neither of them could be haltered or even approached at that time. I got to practice a lot of interaction techniques and a ton of ground work. I probably learned more than they did, but they have learned a lot and come 180 degrees from where they were. Nyani calls to me when I get another horse out, she always wants to be the one who gets attention. She loves interaction but can be a bit anxious about fly spray, wormer and new things. She has a really solid ground work foundation both on halter and in liberty work, she stands without being tied when being groomed and she stands well, while tied, for the farrier. In addition to haltered and liberty ground work, Nyani does very well over 12” jumps and we have put in several ground driving sessions using a bitless side pull headstall and surcingle. I will send links to videos of her working, if you are interested. I never thought that I would be selling them, but the doctors say that I need to cut back. I don’t want them to be hay munchers or pasture ornaments, they enjoy putting in some work.
