River is a 16-year-old bay mare standing 16 hands. She is a quiet, dependable trail horse for an advanced beginner rider looking for a larger mare with a calm nature and plenty of trail experience.
River is comfortable riding on the road, through the woods, and on trails. She walks, trots, and lopes and responds well to her rider's cues. She is not spooky and is a pleasure to have out riding.
River is not being marketed as a first-time beginner horse because she is responsive to her rider. An advanced beginner who understands basic cues will appreciate how willing she is to do what is asked.
