7 Year Old, 16 Hand, Paint Draft Cross looking for his forever home. “Dumpling” was bred by Frontier Rodeo Company, rescued from New Holland in March 2026, and has received months of TLC and ground work since. He has excellent manners, but is new to being someone’s horse. Once he trusts you, he really enjoys working with you, and meets every new challenge with grace. He stands and ties quietly to be brushed and saddled, picks up all 4 feet, leads quietly, lunges nicely, has lovely manners, zero kick or nastiness of any kind, quiet brained, and easy to work with and be around. He is very desensitized to road noise (as heard in the video), farm equipment, golf carts, chickens, alpacas, llamas, and almost everything else. He has been ridden in the past but he is not broke to ride currently. I have saddled and sat on him as first ride prep. I selected him for his quiet demeanor and his beautiful color and movement. He’s clean legged, and clean sided, with no noticeable scars, scrapes or scratches on him. He is the lowest man on the totem pole, very submissive and chill, and will turn out alone or with other horses. Not herd bound, or buddy sour. He is most comfortable living outside with the option to come into a stall or run in shed. Winter is unfortunately coming, and with no indoor, and no round pen, I don’t have the facilities to let him shine under saddle. Due to his breeding and background, I am seeking a long-term, experienced home for him, preferably somewhere he can relax and enjoy his second chance at life. While he is very quiet, many things are new to him and he will require patience to continue to make his learning experience a positive one. He’s an unbelievably quick learner and an eager student once you’ve gained his trust through a few treats ;) He is a true 16 hands, I’m 5’10 in the video for reference :) Priced as a project, negotiable to the perfect home.
