Roxie is a 12yo, 15.2-15.3 grey Missouri Foxtrotter mare. She is beautifully gaited, incredibly fun and very comfortable to ride. She smoothly transitions through a true flat-foot walk, foxtrot, running walk and an easy lope. Roxie is highly seasoned and well traveled, having camp and ridden many places including Mt Rogers, Iron Mountain, Otter Creek and Big South Fork. Roxie is happiest riding with other horses. In a group, she doesn't care where she rides in the pack, and will even walk along with your non gaited friends. When ridden alone, she can be "snorty" for a bit then settles nicely into her work. I believe she is best suited for an intermediate or experience gaited rider, one that appreciates a well gaited horse. Roxie is very smart, light on the aids, neck reins, responds well to leg cues. She wants to please so much, at times she will try to anticipate your next ask. She patiently parks out to mount/dismount or will happily pick you up at the mounting block. Excellent ground manners. She runs in a mixed herd and stays at the bottom of the pecking order. When you walk into the paddock with a halter, she comes and positions herself to be haltered. Does great for the farrier, vet, trailering and bathing. I have owned her for five years and I am wanting to downsize my herd. Can provide more pics and videos.
