Churro is a 12-year-old sorrel blanket Appaloosa gelding standing 14.1 hands and STOUT! He’s eye-catching, versatile, and the definition of an all-around kind of guy. Whether you want to hit the trails, play in the arena, jump, or move cows, Churro has plenty to offer! He has spent time in the jumping ring, jumping around 3 feet, and seems to really enjoy it if that’s the direction you’d like to take him. He has also played around with gymkhana events, gone through barrels and poles, carried flags, and helped move cows. He seems to enjoy following and pushing cattle around! On the trails, Churro has crossed water, bridges, and hilly terrain. He has also been ridden on city streets around traffic without blinking an eye. He’s the kind of horse who makes you want to try a little bit of everything. In the arena, Churro walks, trots, and canters, with a good stop and spin. He side passes, backs easily, neck reins, and moves off your legs. He has plenty of buttons and enjoys having a job! Churro is a forward horse, so I would not recommend him for a beginner rider, but he has been very easy to control and responsive to his rider. One of my favorite things about Churro is how unfazed he has been by everything we’ve put in front of him. I have yet to find something that spooks him! Birds flying out of bushes, cars pulling loud trailers, strollers, and random objects in the arena haven’t bothered him. He also stands like a ROCK when tied—he’ll stand for hours and barely move a foot. He loads with ease and stands well for saddling, bridling, and the farrier. Churro is an easy keeper and currently receives no maintenance. He is up to date on shoes, deworming, teeth, and vaccines. He’s ready for his new home and someone who wants to get out and have fun!
