2011 Bay Thoroughbred Mare, Lil Mighty Mo (Ellie), 16.2 HH. Once in a lifetime horse seeking a career change. I absolutely don’t need to sell her, but if the right situation is out there, I want to see her thriving instead of just happy. No beginners No first time OTTB owners No gaming No jumping Her ideal living situation is in a large pasture with 24/7 access to quality hay, a job that works her brain but doesn’t stress her body to much or cause her major anxiety, and someone who will cater to her princess like demands as well as listen to her opinions. If you don’t really know what I mean by all that, she’s probably not the horse for you. I will happily go into detail about the years I’ve owned her if you’re seriously interested, but I’ll try to keep this short: she does not want to jump competitively anymore, and would make a wonderful dressage, working equitation, endurance, or trail horse. She can be ridden western, but does not have any formal western training. She does have trail experience, and LOVES it. As long as the rider is competent and confident, she’ll go anywhere she’s pointed. We consistently ride 4-6 miles on any given day, and she’ll walk out the entire time. Rarely slows down, but never runs off- loose rein and ears pricked the whole time. In the arena she has lovely and correct gaits, basic lateral movements in hand and ridden, smooth transitions, and moves off legs and seat while maintaining correct contact (requires quiet hands). Bathes, loads, hauls, clips, ties, hobble trained, not herd bound, not mareish (except when in heat), good with other livestock, safe around kids, good for the farrier, literally nothing bad to say about her temperament. Everyone who meets her loves her. UTD on everything. Current maintenance: forage based diet (very low sugar, and anti inflammatory), 4 shoes when in work, Adequan as needed when in work, and correctly fitted tack that’s checked regularly. Will not “pass” a PPE, and I’m happy to disclose what I know. I have back, and hock X-rays from 2 years ago. Care lease or trial under contract before purchase would be ideal- I need to know she’s going to the right home.
