Bay gelding, 16 hands, five black points. Brutus is a Percheron/Quarter Horse cross with smooth walk-trot-lope gaits and a big personality. His previous owners rode him off-trail his whole life — that’s where he shines. He prefers walking, but he moves when you warm him up and ask for more.
He’s not an arena horse (and he won’t pretend to be), but anybody can ride him. All of my children get on him, and anyone can walk him around the arena. You can leave him in the pasture for months and a child can still hop on and ride him easily. Steady, honest, and sweet as they come.
We’ve had him for a year and a half and love him dearly. The only reason we’re selling is that we need a horse with a little more go, and we just don’t have the space for another one. If you want a reliable, kid-friendly trail partner with heart, Brutus is your guy.
