RUEBEN (A.K.A. Roob Toob & Ruby Tuesday)
6-Year-Old John Mule•14.1 HH
If you’re looking for a handy, versatile mule with a WHOLE lot of personality, Rueben is your guy!
This little dude has spent the last almost 2 years proving that he’s more than just a pretty face. Most recently, he spent six weeks in Montana and Oregon gathering cattle, covering some serious mountain country, and packing around the occasional greenhorn. 😉
•Rides one-handed, moves laterally, and has a good handle in and out of the arena
•Tracks cattle, works a roping dummy, and takes a dally
•Ponies horses like a BOSS
•Packs, hobbles, high-lines, and handles rough country, water crossings, and obstacles
•Surefooted, willing, and has been exposed to a little bit of everything
•Rides the same with one day or one month off
•No buck, rear, bolt, or funny business (but there is an occasional busy upper lip trying to grab your pockets)
•Easy to catch and usually the first one to meet you at the gate
Rueben has the foundation, athleticism, and experience to go in just about any direction. Whether you’re looking for a ranch partner, mountain mule, or something to continue developing in the arena, he’s got plenty to offer!
Best suited for a confident rider who appreciates an athletic, forward mule, although he’s also carried his fair share of greenhorns and kids.
Above all else, Rueben is an absolute CHARACTER. He’s personable, goofy, loves attention, and is just as much fun to have around as he is to ride.
He’s ready to be someone’s main mount, and you really won’t appreciate how cool this dude is until you come try him out. 😉
