Doc Eyed Red Buck also known as “Houdini” is an old soul that we have done everything under the sun on. He is 15.1 hands and 1250 lbs of buttermilk buckskin perfection! A bonus on top of his golden color and fantastic bone is his experience on and off the job. Houdini started his career in the feed yards of west Texas and in the wheat fields tending to yearlings. His foundation is solid, his eye is kind and he is as gentle as they come. Not only does he have a great work ethic but has the will to please. Houdini is an excellent trail horse who is quiet and easy to ride. He will cross bridges, water, logs and rough terrain without a second thought. When we say he is an all around good horse, we mean it! He can lope beautiful circles, ride English, work cattle and melt your worries away on the trails. We have also been roping on Houdini in the arena! He is a very well rounded horse that you will fall in love with! He is never hesitate or skeptical about anything we put in front of him. With all the exposure and life experiences this horse has had in and out of the arena this phenomenal gelding has the potential to go far in any of the ranch riding classes or go on and finish him as a rope horse. Houdini is the perfect mount for any level of rider and has even been used as a lesson horse for small children. Time off does not bother this guy he’s always easy to catch, saddle and stays gentle no matter how long it has been since his last ride. He is safe, sound and honest every day of the year and he is the family horse everyone needs. Houdini will steal everyone’s attention and hearts with his huge personality. That personality is what has gifted him the name Houdini. His favorite pass time when he is not being ridden is playing with his jolly ball and gate latches.
