Golden Dappled Buckskin Draft Cross Gelding with a tail that drags the ground.
This 4 year old golden dappled buckskin gelding is wise far beyond his years. He stands 14.3 hands tall and has a solid, chunky build. With his long, flowing mane and tail that drag the ground, he is as striking as he is kind.
Whiskey has been trail ridden from the mountain ranges of Colorado to the sandy beaches of Florida, and he takes every environment in stride with confidence and ease. Whiskey has been ridden down the road and into town. He is the type that makes every ride feel simple and enjoyable.
Under saddle, Whiskey is a standout. He is a lovely mover with smooth, balanced gaits and quality flatwork. He has seamless transitions, easy leg yields, and is soft as butter in the bridle. He is ready to step right into a dressage test, yet just as happily carries a child through a weekend Pony Club outing.
This past weekend, Whiskey stepped into the show ring and proved his qualityโundefeated, winning the flat class out of a large group. His gaits are incredibly smooth and comfortable, making him a joy for riders of all levels.
As fancy as he is, Whiskey is equally kind. He is your classic โgiant teddy bearโ and in your pocket. He is happy to ride bareback, quiet enough to handle a bullwhip, and willing to go gather cattle. He truly enjoys getting out on the trails and being part of whatever you ask of him.
Whiskey has been cross country schooling and confidently jumps logs, gates, drop banks, and goes straight into the water. He has even completed the course with our 8 year old rider, showcasing just how forgiving and trustworthy he is. He has also successfully completed our full obstacle course with ease.
In the barn, Whiskey is just as exceptional. He turns out well alone or with others, walks right up to you in the field, and genuinely loves attention. He is the type that forms a true partnership with his person.
