Queen has been off the track since 2022 so she has had plenty of needed down time. I've worked with and ridden her on and off for the last 2 years but not consistently due to my own time constraints. Queen is a big bodied mare who enjoys attention, treats and a job, and is very personable. She is sensitive enough making her very easy to train but she is very brave and curious with new things. Queen is quite accustomed to the machine and construction noises on the farm (chain saw, weed whip, mower, atv, nail guns, saws, etc) which hardly phase her. Under saddle she's quite easy to ride going in a basic D ring snaffle, she's green and honestly on the lazier side but still willing. She's never reared or bucked with me under saddle. We have done W/T/C and basic poles only so far. Queen is a typical mare that cannot be bullied or forced into anything, but will try anything asked of her for 'her person'. I wouldn't call her beginner friendly but intermediate with trainer or a patient person who has ottb experience could likely work well with her. I have 2 older (21 and 25 yr) retired ottb mares that she is just too pushy with and so I've separated her from them. While she's not overtly aggressive by any means, she's just not fitting well with my older girls. I briefly had a friend's mare at my farm and they were a completely perfect fit. My personal farm is just not set up well to have 3 horses that are separated and I don't have enough resources to get a 4th horse. Queen would be happier somewhere with horse friends and a human who can dedicate time to her consistently. Queen is barefoot with great feet, she is up to date on her vaccines but is due for her teeth currently. She currently lives outside 24/7 as I only have 2 stalls. Queen is a superb eater, not a hard keeper at all. Since I've separated her from my other mares she has dropped some weight from the stress of that but in the last 3 years I've had her I've never had issues keeping weight on her on minimal grain. A good home that is the right fit is my top priority. I may consider a lease with the right terms or if it doesn't work out she has a place to come back to so she doesn't end up somewhere she shouldn't. I plan to get back to working her under saddle for more for more miles and experiences, so her price will update to reflect that. More updated pictures and videos to come.
