Evie is a 7 year old, 14.1 hh, sooty buckskin mustang from Navajo Nation. She is a lovely girl who is sweet and sensitive. She is green broke to ride W/T/C in an arena setting, with a handful of trail/in town rides. She has wonderful athletic, floaty movement. She spent time in the spring of '25 under saddle with a dressage trainer receiving a basic foundation in that discipline, and is currently being ridden 3-5x/week (since mid-Dec). What she does well: -Relatively easy to catch in a corral -Patient and can stand tied for hours -Enjoys grooming -Lunges -Follows bit direction -Soft feel in halter -Will stand for me to trim her feet -Quick learner -Ground work; disengage hq, fq, side pass, etc -Tolerates traffic, dogs, and generally comfortable with environmental noise -Saddling and bridling -Ground driving -Mount/dismount -Doesn't appear buddy or barn sour Needs improvement: -Becomes cold-backed quickly; absolute minimum for this mare is 4x/week, and you can expect needing a solid warm up prior to riding especially with any amount of time off. -Stranger danger; improving and not so bad she cannot be seen by a vet. Would benefit from a busier setting where she is regularly handled by a variety of people Evie's ideal week would be an arena lesson on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, ground work on Tuesday and Thursday, and a trail ride on Saturday, all generously interspersed with a human to dote on her and spend quality time building rapport. She is very willing to learn and work with a human, and learns each thing I have introduced quickly. She is a suitable project for an experienced horse person (teen or adult). Access to an indoor riding facility to continue winter training highly recommended. UTD on everything. Lots of additional pics & videos. Please call or text: four oh 6 224 two 0 six 3.
