Evie is an approximately 7 year old mustang from Navajo Nation. She is a lovely girl who is sweet and sensitive. She is green broke to ride W/T/C in an arena setting. She has wonderful athletic, floaty movement. She is 14.1 hh. She spent time earlier this year under saddle with a dressage trainer receiving a basic foundation in that discipline. What she does well: -Relatively easy to catch in a corral -Patient and can stand tied for hours -Enjoys grooming -Lunge -Follows bit direction -Soft feel in halter -Front feet -Quick learner -Bridling -Ground work; disengage hq, fq, side pass, etc -Tolerates traffic, dogs, and generally comfortable with environmental noise Moderately skilled: -Saddling -Back feet -Ground driving -Mount/dismount -Doesn't appear buddy or barn sour Needs improvement: -Reactive -Spooky w/ new objects, needs slow intro & baby steps -Has bucked when ridden outside arena (needs additional time under saddle in arena setting and gradual trail intro) -Can be kicky (making good gains here) At her current level of training, Evie needs 6-7 days/week. I have made a strong effort at 5 with her, which is putting strain on my family obligations. She is very willing to learn and work with a human, and learns each thing I have introduced quickly. She is a suitable project for an experienced horse person (teen or adult). Access to an indoor riding facility to continue winter training highly recommended. Lots of additional pics & videos.
