For sale or lease in Orcutt CA. Slo-Mo aka Mo is a 5 year old, bay, 14.2 1/2, quarter horse gelding. He is super cute, well put together and is still butt high and may reach 15 hands within the next couple of years. He is super easy going and not spooky at all. Everyone who sees me ride him is surprised he is so young as his temperament suggests he's a 20 year old retired horse that has seen everything. Has lived in stalls, dirt pens, and pasture. He has moved across the country with me 3 times from CA to MT to KY and back to CA. That being said he does well in any kind of weather, is a super easy traveler, and has never been unsound or sick.

Mo is currently in training as a fox hunting horse and definitely prefers being ridden through the hills than in the arena. He walk, trot, canters, leg yields, side passes, opens gates, is started over jumps, crosses water and is a great trail horse. Mo doesn't mind being in the back of the pack or walking away completely, but also has no problem keeping up. He is quite lazy in the walk but not in the trot or canter. Great ground manners and super safe all around. He is a bit stubborn and will take advantage of an unexperienced rider so he is not being sold as a lesson pony or beginner horse.
Mo would be a great first horse for a younger experienced rider! Or a great no nonsense horse for an older rider. His trot is SUPER smooth just that makes me want to keep him for myself! I would love to see him become a ranch horse as I think he would love it. You can ride him all day long, he is surefooted, and can book it down a hill when you need him too. I have not worked cows on him yet but it's on my list after the new year and his price will go up once he has.
