"Phoenix" GRADE 2018 Approx. 15H, Chestnut Arabian/Saddlebred Gelding. Solid disposition, job oriented, sweet, goofy Training started: 11/18/2025 Phoenix is a lovely and goofy boy that came in already broke to ride, competed in 5 LD's in 2025, and had some trail riding (said to love the trails). He also had a "head tossing" problem. He's been in training for a while now trying to resolve this head tossing issue and while it is mostly resolved, he seems to only offer it in certain situations, minimally here. I believe it is a habit/release he has learned to use to cope with new or unfamiliar things. While he is still rideable and if you don't mind a head toss here and there, it isn't the end of the world and can also be ridden in a tie down. That is the worst this boy offers. He got a re-start during training as he lacked patience and only wanted to move out (not in a hot manner, just in a I was trained for Endurance, and I need to move out manner). I wanted to create an "off switch" so he learned to just be and be ridden comfortably and not just cover ground. Started him slow with encouraging opportunity to think, learn to flex/relax, and focus on taking things easy. Starting him over in a knot halter to create more softness/responsiveness. My main goal was to add more of a foundation where he was lacking. I believe he is ready to go for someone that is looking for an athletic, job oriented, and goofy personality type of horse, but I want to get him out on trails first myself prior to listing him to make sure he rides out on trails nicely personally. Phoenix will officially be listed available June 1st. Showings won't start until after. But feel free to follow in the meantime!
