Putting feelers out there for my sweet mare. Estimated to be around 10–12 years old. She is unregistered (possibly could be registered, but I’m unsure). She is truly one of the sweetest horses you’ll meet and just needs someone willing to continue working with her and give her the love and consistency she deserves. I love this mare very much, but I am currently searching for a broke dressage horse and will be moving out of state in a few months, so I don’t think I’ll be able to finish her training. When I first got her, she was only somewhat halter broke and did not lead very well. Since then, she has improved a lot. She now leads nicely, lunges well, and knows “whoa” perfectly on the ground. I am not a professional trainer she is my first green horse, but I have been trying my best with her. She currently has around 10 rides under saddle. She has been walked and trotted under saddle and has never once bucked. She still needs work with stopping/“whoa” while being ridden. Honestly, she seems like she may have had some previous handling at some point, but I cannot confirm that. She stands tied great and is still working on picking up all four feet consistently. She has no known health issues that I am aware of. The only thing I want to fully disclose is that she seems sensitive specifically on the right side of her rib area while being ridden. If she feels even light pressure there, she may scoot forward or get startled. She can also react when removing your foot from the right stirrup while dismounting if it brushes against her side. What’s strange is that she does not seem bothered by touching or poking that area on the ground, and she also does fine with stirrups flapping while lunging. Because of this, I’m unsure if it is behavioral, sensitivity-related, or something else entirely. Overall, she is a very sweet mare with lots of potential and I truly think she could excel in whatever direction her future owner would like to take her dressage, jumping, trail riding, pleasure, or anything else with the right training and consistency.
